Our Mission

Anatomy of Movement, Inc. was founded in 2016 to provide mobility assistance for people living with paralysis.   We provide exercise and mobility services, at low or no cost, that help individuals regain freedom, movement and quality of life.

Mobility Aids and Equipment

Individuals living with paralysis also live with disablement to adaptive equipment, and to his or her own environment.

When assessing an individual living with paralysis we look at all 3 environments: 1) The environment which is outside the person, 2) The immediate environment in direct contact with the person and moves with the person (eg, clothes, adaptive equipment), and 3) The intermediate environment, the personal living space (ie, home) and work space (ie, office).  We then scope our exercise and mobility plan specific to an individuals environment profile.

Exercise and Movement

Exercise and movement focuses on aggressively working with clients physically and psychologically, so that in a short period of time, clients can maximize their neurological recovery and general health.  We educate our clients about all aspects of their injury and care. We want clients who work in our studio to improve to be as independent and productive as possible, prepared to resume their lives and participate in activities they enjoy.

With Paralysis, Challenges Go Beyond Walking

Individuals living with paralysis fight the battle ground everyday against infection, respiratory complications, chronic pain and muscle spasms, loss of bladder and bowel control, and cardiovascular illness-- are just some of the challenges facing a person with paralysis.  We are constantly examining

combination therapies available to our clients and provide consultation on many new exciting clinical developments in the field of improving mobility and cognitive health.
